MTG resigns! While the news was immediately shocking once you thought through what her options were her actions made sense. If she were to stay in the race she would win her race comfortably. I live one state over. There is overlap in the rural type of constituency that she represents and where I live. So I know the mindset.

It’s not that she was concerned about losing her seat it was more about spending the money to fight for her seat. Why would she do that? She enjoys popularity with her people but in DC she is considered a pariah. As the Republicans WILL lose the house she would be in the minority fighting for a President and his policies she no longer believes in AND possible impeachment proceedings because you can count on it the other half of the uniparty WILL impeach him and this time there is enough to impeach him on.
