Just to wish fellow Duranians, and of course our dear hosts here in Durania, a happy Sunday - (I've been a bit more absent than I'd like to be).

Listening to Larry Johnson's latest episode of Counter Currents podcast with Alastair Crooke I was motivated to check out how much hard cash the UK under egomaniac Johnson, wet Sunak and idiot Starmer has poured into project Ukraine. Alastair Crooke mentioned that UK is particularly exposed to as a guarantor of Ukrainian bonds.

Not surprisingly the official UK government document doesn't spell out this aspect but even what it admits to is pretty astonishing at £13 billion. But as well as the non IMF bonds they have omitted the cost of the subsidised housing and welfare for the 270,000 refugees. Our neighbour gets £500 per month for renting a room to a (very pleasant) Ukrainian woman. The government website states that anyone who left Ukraine since 2022 will be automatically allowed residence and be eligible for welfare payments. This is a large amount of ongoing costs.
