Lukoil is evidently trading oil with India by converting INR to AED, to avoid sanctions + the limited convertibility of the INR.. Maybe Russia does not import many products from India - certainly not enough to cover the oil trade.

It's surprising that Trump does not take some action versus the UAE in that regard. Except perhaps that the UAE is a vital hub for sponsoring US aggression and war crimes in the ME, which the Vile Empire does not wish to jeopardize.

After that, Lukoil converts the AED to CNY reserves. Despite some lack of convertibility, the CNY/RMB is the third-ranking reserve currency.

In my opinion, if the UAE becomes too much of a hub for de-dollarisation, the former USA will take some action.

But since the UAE has largely supplanted THE Ukraine as the world's hub for illegal dealing in gold, diamonds, weapons, human trafficking, and just about everything else, it is tough to see how an US empire rotten to its own depraved core will manifest that action.
