When Boris Johnson, Jens Stoltenberg and zElensky say that they need long range missiles to create unbearable conditions for the Russians, with the sole purpose that the Russian society would put pressure on the military and political leadership of the country and thus force the Russian authorities to sit down at the negotiating tablle - they, in fact, recognize that Russian society can influence its government; that in Russia there is a connection between the interests of the society and the government, & that the government listens to the opinion of the people.

Meanwhile in Ukraine, the unbearable conditions have long been created; the economy has been destroyed; there is no electricity; the mobilization is conducted through barbaric methods; there's a complete usurpation of power; there's no freedom of speech, or freedom of assembly, or freedom of religion - you name it.

Shouldn't it be obvious to everyone by now that the pot is calling the kettle black when those who ignore...

• The “distant blockade” is necessary because of China’s growing military power and its ability to confound US military aggression immediately along its own shores;

• The essay book-ends US policy going as far back as 2006 aimed at cutting China's various economic "lines of communication," including sea routes from the Middle East to China via the Malacca Strait and the South China Sea;

• Far from speculative policy, the US has already reorganized the entire US Marine Corps to wage war against Chinese shipping;

• To prevent global economic catastrophe in the near future, nations must target, expose, and uproot US interference within and along their borders used to set the stage...
