In my opinion by far the most important event occurring at the moment is the unfolding collapse of Ukraine. The front lines are breaking, the energy system is collapsing, and there is a funding crisis which the EU is finding it impossible to resolve. Against this background there is an ongoing power struggle in Kiev masquerading as an 'anti-corruption' campaign (it is no such thing) and there are growing signs that once prominent rats are jumping the visibly sinking ship (there are rumours that the Energy Minister has fled abroad following the lead apparently set by Umerov).

As it happens the latest word about Zelensky is that he is flying today to meet Witkoff in Istanbul, supposedly in order to get the negotiations with Russia - which just a week ago the Ukrainians were saying had been 'suspended' till the end of ...

Many friends throughout Germany have been laid off or taken "voluntary" retirement from places like Mercedes. Not a single person thinks this collapse will stop just look at the United-Klowndom to see its hollowed out future.

Trump hosting bin Salman at the white house and attendant dinner was quite the boot-licker show. While Trump did his usual boasting about how "hot' he (Trump) is with his 'glorious victory' and rescuing the US from the forces of evil (which in truth the US fell to many moons ago) MbS looked most uneasy and bemused.

MbS played along and mentioned how 'hot' he thinks the US economy is, despite no facts or figures on the US economy forthcoming, thanks to the US government shutdown. MbS seemed to do his best to affect the same used car salesman profile and diatribe that Trump himself projects.

Of course Trump's 'hot' US is reminiscent of the notorious 1992 video where Trump and Epstein are partying together, and Trump remarks to Epstein about one of the dancers saying, "she's hot".

Then Trump dumped Saudi right in it, saying that Saudi approval was key to allowing the US to bomb Iran. Trump also took extreme exception to one reporter's question about the bone saw murder. Trump hoped to ...
