From Slayangrad about the fighter escort provided for Putin's trip to the UAE. Turns out it was something of a milestone in such things:
Fighterbomber writes (https://t.me/fighter_bomber/14950):
Today marked a rare event in the history of military aviation and in the history of Russia
The aircraft of Russia's Supreme Commander-in-Chief completed a non-stop flight to the United Arab Emirates, escorted by a fighter wing of the Russian Air Force, fully armed.
The rarity lies in the fact that there are very few—if any—such cases globally. This is because there are no other fighter jets in the world capable of covering such distances with weapons, without refueling and without additional fuel tanks.
Moreover, very few countries generally permit armed aircraft to enter their airspace, except for allied nations. Typically, escort duties are handled by fighters from the host country. However, in this instance, it was a continuous chain of escorts from takeoff to landing. They even treated spectators to a brief air show after arriving.
This move serves as a transparent message to the entire world, akin to ringing a bell! Kudos to those who conceived the idea, those who organized the event, and those who executed everything flawlessly.
The day did not pass without significance.
