so Justice Sotomayor went to my grandsons school last week. She is a native Texan from San Antonio. She was there to promote her children’s book.

One grandson got to ask her a question when she was talking to them in the library. Not sure what he asked he’s 7. These days any question you ask him involves Spiderman.

My other grandson got to shake her hand when she was greeting the older children in the hallway. Regardless of her politics I think it’s pretty cool that the children were able to talk to a Supreme Court Justice. Despite everything I think it makes the point to them that if you apply yourself…as Dr. Seuss said…Oh the places you will go.

Note…when I asked my older grandson what he thought of the experience he said…she had cold hands.
