Dnipro, Saturday Morning, 20th April
The morning after the day before is the best way to describe things in Ukraine atm. Yesterday's strikes in Dnipro were no more intense than most of the others, but for some reason they got global significance. Friends from all over the world, some I haven't heard from in months messaged to make sure we were OK. Not sure why, both the train and bus terminals (very close together) have been hit previously, and no doubt will be again. This week has seen nearly daily hits in Dnipro, devastatingly accurate and with virtually none civilian casualties. Russian strikes are nearly always early hours of the morning to avoid civilian casualties, and there precision is amazing.
Zelensky was in Dnipro yesterday, despite reports he was in Poland, we saw his convoy and friends in the sbu confirmed he was visiting on way to Chasov Yar, or at least a location made to look like it. One underground bunker or green room looks the same as another to the leprechaun terrorist.
New mobilisation laws have been passed, but are being mostly ignored by everyone. As I have noted on many occasions, everyone who wants to, or is prepared to fight is also doing so. Others will continue to resist, hide where possible and there is a lot of sympathy from all here and local channels alert of TCC stops all the time. Local police I know will do nothing to help, so it's only the TCC officers who come from other cities that go after locals, and there is increasing instances of them being attacked and beaten up.
Ambulance traffic is very high, I would say higher than ever before, but it's hard to distinguish between a flood and a tsunami.
Like most people I stand stuffed watching the complete flip of Mike Johnson, but it won't make any difference here, it will consign another few hundred thousand Ukrainian and Russian soldiers to death, but American politicians are simply too fucking stupid to realise this. He must lose his job for this betrayal, what happened to the plan for victory, or the accountability for spending etc. He's scum, but nobody would ever have thought otherwise surely.
Everyone in Ukraine knows how this will end, so everyone is pulling back from support of the conflict, and zelensky has no support anyhow.
