Europe has become progressively more dependent on the United States since the end of World War 2. When France rejoined NATO after DeGaulle' s death, the last vestige of European independence died. Now we have gotten to the point of imperial economic collapse where the US is cannibalizing its vassals. They are going down economically even faster than we are.
