Iran produces a larger share of STEM graduates than the US, UK, Japan and many European powers - and Iranian women outperform their peers in several advanced economies, according to UNESCO data.

33% of Iranian university graduates earn science/engineering degrees (4th globally, behind China, Russia, Germany)

Women make up 33.3% of Iran’s STEM graduates - higher than Australia (32.4%), France (31.9%), Germany (27.7%) and Switzerland (24.3%)

The numbers point to one of Iran's biggest strategic assets: a deep pool of scientifically trained talent primed to become a major engine of future technological and economic growth.
