As the U.S. continues to supply Ukraine with weapons, a man who has spent many hours watching hundreds of videos of President Putin, including his speeches, has told Col. Douglas Macgregor that he has never seen Putin so somber, almost downcast in his posture and look, as at the February 2 anniversary service in Stalingrad where Soviets sustained at least a million casualties. He suggests that President Putin may have reached the point where he’s not sure there’s much hope left for any kind of reconciliation, any kind of useful agreement, with Washington.

Says Macgregor, “I think President Putin has now come to the conclusion that Russia may have to oppose us and that’s not something he wants to do.
