Alastair Crooke speaks of the pendulum of war. Right now the Zionists are celebrating their victory, but how long before the pendulum swings the other way? Iran has the capacity to flatten Israel from the air. With US help, Israel can probably destroy Tehran as well as Beirut, but Iran is a much bigger country. On the ground, Israel has a small and war-weary army that is failing in Lebanon. All Israel can do is kill civilians and destroy infrastructure with its air power. It will be difficult to mount a decisive attack on Iran from the air. Bombers carrying enormous bombs will have to be refueled, and Iran should be able to shoot them down during the process. Of course, Israel can always use nukes. They may already be using small tactical nukes along with their big bombs. Meanwhile, there is strong evidence that Iran conducted an underground nuclear test on Oct. 5.
