Russia is like a battered wife who puts up with serious, but nonexistential violence for twenty years then snaps and murders her husband for the relatively minor transgression of leaving the toilet seat up.

Putin should have used tit-for-tat starting with Nord Stream, following up with the Kerch Bridge, the attack on the strategic bombers, the Kursk Oblast, the attempted assassinations of himself, Crocus City Hall, etc etc etc etc. That he hasn't he has left himself open to "the death of a thousand cuts." Modern education is crap compared to what I had to go through 60 years ago. Heck, I had to pass a simple exam in Latin - which I never understood. Other boys also took exams in Ancient Greek. The history lessons (in Egypt) made no apologies for the numerous occupations. The history lessons (in England) made no apologies for controlling by piracy and subterfuge 1/4 of the world.

When I moved to England at the age of 12, I did not need to study maths again until I was 16. We had been introduced to calculus before I left Egypt. English maths was so far behind.
