Putin is probably the best president Russia ever had. But now he has become part of the problem that is being discussed here. You cannot clap with one hand only - Putin/Russia is the other hand that (by not taking the right actions at the right time) made this crisis possible.

Putin/Russia could lean two things from Iran. Iran didn’t hesitate to decisively attack any country that colluded with USrael. Russia/Putin haven’t.

The other lesson is about Russia/Putin “having a special relationship” with the genocidal state despite the latter’s genocidal crimes. I am not talking about any kinetic action. Simply stopping trade with that entity would do - preferably even breaking off diplomatic relationship.

No, these two actions will not provoke WW3. Both are nonviolent actions that are completely voluntary. Those who insist otherwise are actually encouraging Izrahell to continue its crimes.

Russia is still a force for good. But even Russia/Putin have things to learn.
