Scott Ritter excoriates Trump's security appointees, Mike Waltz and Sebastian Gorka, and he excoriates Trump even more for making these appointments. Waltz has just said that he is on the same page as Jake (the Snake) Sullivan, and Gorka has made a statement calling Putin a "thug" and indicating that Trump can intimidate Putin into accepting any deal Trump offers by sending Ukraine so many weapons, it will make the ones we have sent so far "look like peanuts". Trump must have authorized these statements, and if he did, it just proves that he lied to the American people when he campaigned on an antiwar platform. That wonderful antiwar speech he made was written by a speech writer, he cannot really believe it. Putin will take his appointees statements this way and act accordingly. Now, Scott sometimes makes pessimistic predictions hoping they won't come true. Here I am sure he is hoping Trump will prove him wrong.
