Budget bill killed at last minute!

The 1,500-page "Continuing Resolution" was released yesterday with only 19 hours left for House members to read it.

BUT it was posted on X by Elon Musk -- and he, Vivek Ramaswamy, JD Vance, and millions of X members did read it.

Trump and Vance issued a joint statement against the bill, and Musk mobilized all day long on X to rally calls into Congress -- especially into Speaker Johnson's office 202-225-2777.

The bill not only was a budget buster, but included outrageous measures like a proviso that would protect Liz Cheney and other J6 Committee members from prosecution; promote NGO and others' efforts to subsidize illegal immigration; added new support for epidemic mandates, with funding for 10 new biolabs; and would give House members a 40% raise along with lifting the mandate that they must all be on Obamacare.

GOP KY Rep Barr on CR: The phone was ringing off the hook today. And you know why? Because they were reading the tweets, the X from musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, and they were telling me that they were, that they were listening to them.. this shows the influence that president, Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have in this process before they're even in office. The American people elected Donald Trump, and the American people want us to pay attention to that election and that election results, and so we've got to work. This is an important lesson for the the new unified Republican majority, that we have to work.. I do think the path forward is a skinny CR where you just take the 100 pages that the Appropriations Committee produced and everything else falls out... I think that included the disaster..
