Virtually everyone involved in the Ross Ulbricht prosecution, even those who believed he was guilty of crimes -- even appellate judges -- found the life sentence imposed on him mind-bogglingly severe, punitive and unjust.

Congrats to those who convinced Trump to pardon him:
After the 2020 election, Trump came extremely close to pardoning Edward Snowden. It was Mike Pompeo and GOP Senators who threatened he'd be convicted in the Senate for Jan 6 if he did. He said after he came very close.

He now has a chance to fix that:

Dear Libertarians,

Shortly after the 2020 election, Trump went on the Laura Ingraham (@IngrahamAngle) show and said that the Libertarians cost him the election. If the votes Jo Jorgensen had received would have gone to him, he would have won.

This is why Trump wanted the Libertarian vote - we cover the spread. We are the votes that can make/break an election.

Libertarians might not have been in the position to “win,” but we were the spoilers.

When the Trump team approached Chair Angela McArtle, she used this leverage to ask Trump for several things, among them freedom for Ross Ulbricht.

This was a multi-year, all hands on deck fight, and the results speak for themselves.

If Libertarians understood the power we have as spoilers, we could advance the political agenda of the USA. We don’t have to compromise our morals, we just have to learn to use what we have as we build our own party.

The future is bright for the LP, if only we stop bickering and instead use what we have learned here to continue pushing for more freedom, and less government.

The big topic is the imminent fall of Pokrovsk and Ukraine's growing military crisis. The media in the West are falling silent about it and about the war generally, which in a sense shows how critical the situation has become.

There is also the ongoing collapse of the arms control regime laboriously set up after painstaking negotiations by the US and the USSR during the Cold War. It staggers me how little attention this is getting.

Meanwhile Russia is introducing wholly new weapons systems and promising others in what is rapidly becoming a nuclear arms race in which it is setting a cracking pace. There is also minimal discussion about this in the West, and no discussion at all of the revolutionary implications, civilian as well as well military, of the technological breakthroughs the Russians have achieved.

Lastly, there are accumulating reasons to think that the US economy is already in (quite deep) recession and that the reality of this is being masked by what many now think ...

A quick commentary on the "Piss Summit"

I might not be able to upload much more or do lives for a while

My Fellow Duranianss.

Yes, it's happened again. I have been assaulted by a vicious Malware Bot Virus or whatever 911 Socks is and this thing is bad !

However I wanted to give you a "peace" of my mind concerning the "Piece" or piss, as Elensky calls it, as this thing fell to pieces before it even happened.

Coincidentally on the very SAME DAY this crap happened Saudi Arabia DROPPED the US Petrodollar as a buying currency and NO ONE absolutely NO ONE is talking about this fact anywhere !!!
