EU in action: Bottle cap retainers

A commenter notes:

> This was just a simple case of bureaucratic corruption. Someone with good political connections had a stake in a company that created this kind of bottle caps but nobody wanted to buy them. So they had a little talk with the politician friends, and lo and behold, suddenly it's mandatory to have these caps. And it takes at least a few months for manufacturers to adapt their own cap design, so for a few months everyone had to buy from that one company.
You could even tell easily because initially all caps had the same design, but now there's a different designed cap for many different brands as they've created their own.

Sounds likely.

BOGOTA, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- At least seven Colombian soldiers were killed and 30 wounded after a guerrilla group on Thursday attacked a military base in the country's northeastern city of Aguachica, the national army said Friday.

In this "terrorist act," the National Liberation Army (ELN) used drones equipped with explosives, violating human rights and international humanitarian law by putting populations at extreme risk, it said.

"It happened due to a lack of advanced anti-drone systems," Colombian President Gustavo Petro said on the social platform X, adding that the immediate purchase of the systems is ordered to block such attacks by illegal armed groups.

Francisco Cubides, general commander of the military forces, said that intelligence and operational actions will be reinforced to counter the ELN's terrorist activities.

I share this again. THIS is the real reason why the European leaders and some US politicians are scrambling to keep Ukraine afloat. Yes there’s the money, yes there’s the hatred of Russia but when an entire group of people act so completely irrational there HAS to be a rational reason. I’m not saying they are rational I’m saying that the reason they are irrational has a rational explanation.

A quick commentary on the "Piss Summit"

My Fellow Duranianss.

Yes, it's happened again. I have been assaulted by a vicious Malware Bot Virus or whatever 911 Socks is and this thing is bad !

However I wanted to give you a "peace" of my mind concerning the "Piece" or piss, as Elensky calls it, as this thing fell to pieces before it even happened.

Coincidentally on the very SAME DAY this crap happened Saudi Arabia DROPPED the US Petrodollar as a buying currency and NO ONE absolutely NO ONE is talking about this fact anywhere !!!
