Dnipro, 18th April, Good Friday, morning
Never quite understood Christians calling the day that Jesus was crucified as good Friday, especially given that everyone knows every Friday is the best day of the week anyhow.
This morning, like yesterday, Dnipro was woken by massive missile strikes around the city, 6 in total, we shot 2 down which means they were KH type missiles, I guess launched from the black sea or Crimea. Yesterday was drones, it's really easy to tell the difference, drones you hear the sound, missiles you feel the vibrations. No idea what was hit yet, but apparently whatever it was must have been big, as there was plenty of after shocks, and missiles aren't wasted on less important targets. I am sure Zelenksy will confirm they were purely civilian targets as usual, and everyone in the west will go along.
Military traffic in Dnipro is starting to lessen, I guess Trump will again flip flop soon and send more weapons, but with lessening military supplies, hopes of Ukrainians that this war will end rise, only to be dashed again when the usa changes course. Trump is no less a villain than Pedo Joe was in my mind, his constant weakness and indecisivenes action are leading to the deaths of hundreds of thousands more men.
The past week has been busy, as I was called up to drive medivac for the organisation I volunteer for, and we were deployed to Sumy to evacuate people killed and injured in the strike on the Congress building. I won't say more than it was pretty confronting, and Zelenksy as usual is lying about what was struck. People in Ukraine are furious that these sort of events are still held in the middle of cities and public places. I for one believe it is intentional, and these men are used as bait, it is undoubtedly a war crime to hold the events in built up areas, especially when the family of the participants are invited to attend. When the conflict started and I began working with a contact line evac unit, the only non Ukrainian in the group, we often we came under fire from Ukrainian artillary who knew exactly who and where we were, and I ended up coming to the conclusion we were the actual targets, perhaps me as a foreigner, so I withdrew from these convoys after a run which made me believe I was correct.
Until the West calls out Zelenksy, and holds him to account however, or at least the msm tell the truth, nothing will happen to fix what is wrong in Ukraine. People who claim to support Ukraine and push for the war to continue are simply fools, or lying. I suspect both as anyone who believes the Kiev cabal and western propoganda would have to be such an idiot I doubt they could function.
Also, as I said he would, Zelenksy has extended martial law for a further 90 days, ratified by the rada meaning no elections in what is again a huge middle finger to Trump. Clearly Trump is either a complete fool, or he is subservient to the Kiev cabal and its neocon backers. Either way, if anyone thinks Zelenksy and the rada will ever hold elections, even if peace is found, they are mistaken. Zelensky will always find a reason to extend martial law, as he knows as soon as it is lifted, millions of men will flee Ukraine.
Russian forces continue to advance, Ukrainians continue to concentrate day to day on surviving, but local telegram and chat channels are now showing way more truth, and calling out Zelenksy and his cabal lies and dishonesty. Still, words are cheap, even though they bring with them significant risks of prosecution. I hear often from western commentators that people in Ukraine do not question Zelenksys legitimacy, the fact is, no one seriously questions it, as everyone knows he is illegitimate. To voice that however is a criminal offence with up to 15 years of jail. Why do you think the head of the constitutional court fled Ukraine.
Still no strikes by Russia on energy infrastructure, with spring now upon us our solar systems are again providing most of what we need, and there is no risk of freezing, but I for one have appreciated Putins clemency over the worst of winter, he could easily have shut down Ukraines entire energy system, and he chose not to. If only any Western leaders had the same empathy and compassion displayed by Putin the world would be a safer place.
Lastly, I would wish everyone a happy Easter, I was always sceptical about a divine being, and the past few years have driven that scepticism from me, I now know it's a crock of shit, but for those who do believe, Happy Easter, and for those of us who don't, it's a few days holiday and a great time for family. I don't remember the last time orthodox and western Easter fell on the same weekend, I hope I live long enough to be able to spend one with my entire family around the world bought together in one country, wiyhout being woken by missile strikes nearby.
