Alastair says we are at the start of something big. Israel will respond to the Houthi missile attack. Trump is in a box. Negotiations are locked. Iran will never accept Israel's conditions. On Ukraine, Kellogg has sabotaged the negotiations with Russia. There has been a complete lack of strategy and preparation by an inexperienced team that knows nothing about foreign policy. On domestic policy, at least Trump has a vision, a plan and done some preparation. Whether they will work is another matter, but at least he has a somewhat coherent policy. On foreign policy, however, the Trump administration is really totally clueless. Trump would have to prove to Iran that he is not under the control of the Israel Lobby by taking a stand such as saying that Israel's nuclear weapons should also be part of the negotiations. It seems very unlikely that he will do any such thing at this point.
