The direct damage from a missile is not as bad as the accompanying economic damage. It works like a naval blockade - on the one hand, the Houthis hit not so many ships going to Israel with drones and missiles. In fact, several were sunk + several dozen were damaged. But the very fact of the attacks led to the fact that most ship owners either completely abandoned flights to Israel, or began sending them not through the Suez Canal, but around Africa. The threat turned out to be stronger than the execution.
The Houthis are counting on doing the same with regard to Israeli air traffic, attacking the country's main airport in order to scare away at least some of the airlines from Israel, which will cause Israel long-term economic and image damage. All according to the precepts of asymmetric warfare.
