Sachs is a puzzle... I started watching this video, which is mainly about how the west's philosophical underpinnings changed about 400 yrs ago, basically, to promote greed, individualism, and a struggle for survival, and was impressed.
In cca 20 mins, he explains how the ancient emphasis on the cultivation of virtue evolved in W Europe (with the publication of Prince) to stress the maintenance and management of power as the goal of political science, rather than 'doing good.'
An excellent summary and worth one's time; however, then he veers into the need for a net zero 2050 (wasn't it NZ 2030 not too long ago?), including an effort to interconnect electrical grids over vast distances. (Even some basic knowledge about how the grid operates and is managed would tell you that this is nonsense, very hard to do and creating more problems than it could possibly solve.)
So, I do not know what his agenda really is (he also talks about the world govt.), but the first part is definitely worth ...
