Was put of Ukraine for the past couple weeks checking in on family in Aus, and then our factory in China for a couple days. Was a worry all the time whilst away, but pleasant to see the world continues oblivious to the destruction of Ukraine.
I was interested that in Aus everyone I spoke to was fully aware that Ukraine was being destroyed, and most didn't seem to be overly critical of Russias actions. Everyone blamed the usa as they should. That to me was interesting.
I was also staggered at the development in Shekou in Shenzhen where I have my apartment and typically stay when I am in China visiting our factory or sales offices. The progress was mindblowing, as I haven't been back since 2019 just before covid. I hardly recognised the city, it has grown and so much development has both been started, and finished during that time. It underlines how stupid Trump and his circus admin are that they think they can even compete with such a powerhouse.
The trip you of, and drive back into Ukraine was interesting, a significant drop in military transport both ways, but on the trip back I saw virtually none. Those i met with in the west were clearly worried about the progress of the war, and very critical of zelensky. There is a lot more criticism of both Zelenksy and Syrsky on my return, in both the media, and from rada deputies who are now clearly jockeying to take over from the coward Zelenksy. The only support the Kiev junta has in Ukraine is when eu leaders are visiting.
The last couple days have seen some huge attacks in Kiev, Odessa and Ternopil, and after meeting with the leaders of the volunteer evacuation group I drive for this morning, it's safe to say the Russian advances are increasing. Interestingly Ukrainian casualties seem to be reducing, but this was explained as they are no longer putting up the same resistance as they were before, actively withdrawing when confronted due to a lack of weaponry, and poor defensive lines. Talk of a peace is derided here, no one believes Zelenksy is intending on doing so, all merely wait for him to flee.
Food, fuel, and electricity supplies are stable, the uah is also stable, even a little up on the usd which I find humorous. We. Are being warned that electricity issues will again begin in June, I am guessing as it is getting hotter demand for electricity will increase with air-conditioners. Luckily it's beautiful weather, and our solar systems are providing all we need atm anyhow, but not all are as lucky. Given the electricity price has quadrupled in the past 2 years, many cannot afford to use much electricity anyhow.
No one cares what the usa or eu do anymore, no one trusts them, everyone blames them, and no one takes anything they say seriously. Trump is universally hatedz mostly because he refused to stop all military equipment and funding for the army. Everyone knows this is what is perpetuating the war. It's trumps war, he is losing, and he will lose. He deserves the legacy too, so all good.
