There is a big question of how we have got to the point where Putin and Trump have committed themselves to another summit in Budapest.

The first thing to say is that there is none of the excitement - or concern - we saw ahead of the summit in Alaska. The European media, which was in a frenzy before the Alaska summit, is playing this summit down.

The second is that the Russians seem to be much more skeptical. Not only have Putin and Lavrov been challenged by the Russian media in recent press conferences and interviews, but it seems to me that Ushakov in his briefing seemed more doubtful than before. He spoke of the call between Putin and Trump as merely being ‘quite useful’, and made no comment about warmth or ‘sincerity’ between the leaders.

It is clear that there is a tension we have not seen before.

Back in 1982/3, I was IT manager at the biggest business school in Europe - INSEAD. There was a lot of AI hype. The professors wanted me to switch our software system to "AI" - whatever that meant. I refused. They removed me from the management committee. After completing their biggest software project that kept track of their alumni, I quit.

AI is 90% BS. You can replace a GP with AI - because they just follow the guidelines. But these GP's are not curing anyone. They are the marketing arm of pharmaceutical companies. If you want to remain healthy, don't get vaccinated, eat nutritious food, drink clean water, sleep well, avoid stress and get lots of sunshine. AI won't tell you that.

Don't be deceived by the share prices of NVIDIA, Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta and Amazon. They are round-tripping. They are pumping up the stock prices of one another. They will all fall together.
