Today is the first day of the conference I am attending in Tbilisi, and unfortunately, but perhaps unsurprisingly, everything is running late.

That regrettably means that I am going to miss the time slot for a Live Stream today. Unfortunately, given the events that have been arranged, I think it is unlikely I will be able to do a Live Stream this week.

I am VERY SORRY about this, but will be back in London on Sunday and will be able to resume doing Live Streams from then.

The WSJ reports: “Putin told Trump he will have to respond to the Ukrainian attack, dampening prospects for an immediate peace”. The article characterizes Putin’s message as oddly reluctant, as if he’d rather forget the whole thing and get back to Bismarckian diplomacy but alas events will not allow him.. truth is, even Job would tell Putin he’s just too damned patient.

But the classic part of the Journal’ headline is it’s not so subtle suggestion that it is the Russian response to the Ukrainian attack that will kill hopes for peace, not he Ukrainian/NATO attack itself. Classic.

Forget about Putin…Russia will not trust the US for a very very long time. The US will regret this mistake in judgment. The fact Trump won’t even address the issue directly PROVES he knew and to speak publicly he would have to answer questions that his guilty mouth couldn’t handle.
