Dnipro, 4 July, afternoon
Summer has finally returned to Dnipro, after a few weeks of very mild weather, indeed the last week has seen rain most days, we have now got good weather at last. Today hit around 34, so we decided to come to the club we pay a silly sum of money to belong to, but never come as it's easier to swim at home and we are in a war......
I was surprised, it was busy, as before the war, plenty of beautiful Ukrainian women and young, very athletic and well worked out men. It's a private club so would be difficult to get TCC in here, but if they did, you could form a few battalions with the men, although i suspect everyone here is very well connected and may have medical exemptions..
There have been two huge explosions near us today, one earlier when we were at home, and another not long before we left the club. Not a single person flinched an eyelid, and the second was huge, and followed by secondary detonations. The first was a drone intercepted by pvo, we actually saw the interceptor hit and the resultant explosion, which started a huge fire in the area that they are still trying to put out. That's my big fear, intercepted drones or rockets coming down on our heads. But, it is what it is, and I could also worry my hair will all fall out but I figure it will do what it does whether I worry or not. So far so good on both counts.
The past fortnight, especially over the past week has seen big changes here. There is a serious uptick in drone and missile attacks, across the entire country, and every day we are seeing serious damage to munition stockpiles, fuel dumps and military infrastructure as well as deployment centres.
The attacks are far more often, and far more lethal in the damage caused. They used to onoy happen at night, now throughout the day.
Kiev is being pummelled, and badly. Huge fires are causing problems, and ironically we rely in Russian fire fighting helicopters to try and put those fires out.
A full patriot battery was targeted last night, and let's just say Zelenksy doesn't need as many interceptors now as he did yesterday, although I am told a large number of interceptors were destroyed the day before in a strike on Zhotymir. Talking of Zelenksy, if the poms call starmer Never Here Kier, Zelenksy's name would be Never Here Vladimir, he's everywhere except in Ukraine as always. Denmark yesterday, the devil knows where today.
The attached picture is to assure you all we are fine, like many Ukrainians we aren't slumming it, and even in the middle of a war, life goes on. God bless our troops, and those if Russia, keep them safe, and end this fucking charade of a war.
Please Trump stay the course, no more weapons or money for Ukraine until they negotiate an end to the conflict. It is Never Here Vladimir who is refusing to accept the reality, and negotiate an end to this rediculous conflict, as those in power continue to prosper and feel no pain. Everyone i know is happy the usa has stopped weapon shipments, all want this to end. Russia will not compromise, and anyone with a brain or who cares about Ukraine, or Ukrainians would not want him to. There is no bravery or courage required to refuse to surrender when you, and your friends and family are not fighting and at risk.
