This morning I am consumed by this thought, where are all the good men in power in the West, those who believe they are in service of the people and that country matters?
Five ministers of defence issue war warnings to Russia, when the odds are that this is another false flag and that they would know it as such, or at best given past claims (some of which they helped orchestrate) should have caused hesitation before condemnation and threats of all out war. But they are mendacious in front of the cameras and the MSM question nothing. Yet they would know that Lukashenko warned both Poland and Lithuania that drones were launched from Ukraine against them. Why is the other side always the liar and those that raise alternative claims damned as presenting Russian propaganda?
Russia provocation headlines feed their call to war encouraged by the usual suspects in the MSM and we are all expected to march to their drum beat, regardless of past experience of falsehoods and their damning involvement in Ukraine. That such an incursion into Polish territory be a means to keep the US involved and seen by many as smacking of desperation is presented without question.
Miraculously such an attack didn’t just suit their Ukrainian agenda, it arrived just in time to take the spotlight off yet another illegal attack by the Israelis this time on Qatar. Those with the loudest voices, to their eternal shame, have done their utmost to silence those who speak out against the atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank. As for the violation of international law regarding the attack on Qatar, not one question asked to either the British minister of Defence nor the PM as to the involvement of the RAF. Who according to the Israelis and the Americans refuelled the war planes. So why, when they must have known the purpose and therefore as guilty of this war crime no such questions? Why is such an important matter not being questioned, it is after all an act of war against Qatar. Did any of those who sanctioned such conduct consider the consequences? Consequences that could directly impact British workers for should Qatar remove investment from the UK, investment that directly supports 600,000 jobs, did any of them stop think about that.? That should matter to the British public even if an illegal strike on a Doha building does not. It’s ok to run war rhetoric 24/7 regardless of public opinion and alternative facts, but they can’t even consider real consequences for the British economy.
Across the channel and its daily armada ferrying illegal immigrants, France is on fire yet Macron remains more concerned about what happens in Kiev than Paris. France is crippled financially and culturally but rather than unite across left and tight to find a centre ground, party is more important than national interests and Macron is more concerned about perception than reality.
In Germany reports claim 16 AFD dead politicians, so why isn’t Merz calling for an enquiry? If such an anomaly isn’t in the public interest it’s hard to fathom what might be, but then they are quite happy to force the ridiculous story of four scuba divers and a yacht as the perpetrators of blowing up Nord Stream 2, so clearly they think the German public will swallow what ever they feed them. Like guppies in a fish tank. When unemployment reaches epic proportions because of political insanity will the German people be offered one option only, conscription or destitution?
As I write this, in the UK after running cover for the latest Epstein revelations that involve Peter Mandelson, Starmer has finally sacked him but he is still with his title a thick skinned political grandee. Mandelson, whose reputation was already such that he should never have been a Lord let alone an ambassador anywhere never mind the highest diplomatic role to the US, that is still a question that needs an answer.. Like so many others if he had a shred of decency instead of fighting to save his own skin he would have resigned as clearly his position especially given American feelings about Epstein was untenable, not clung on to be sacked.
But then they all more absorbed in self preservation, self-aggrandisement, self-interest. The psychopathy as to why such nations in the West are economically, culturally and morally crumbling. The rubble is always the fault of the other, none take responsibility for anything. They have the backbone of a jellyfish, that is to say none, or in Scottish folklore would be called ‘frittering’ a spineless creature. Vijay Prashad used the perfect analogy about the current state of affairs, if you keep a dirty house you can’t complain when the ants move in and the rats always follow.
I have to turn to assassination of Charlie Kirk in the US, which catalyses my opening thoughts. Unlike those I criticise, Charlie most certainly had a backbone and the courage to take centre stage to say what he believed. You don’t have to agree with his point, but anyone who does not condemn such a horrendous crime should look to themselves. The MSM are in the most part reporting shock but little self reflection as to their own behaviour that stokes division, never mind who Charlie himself pointed to as wanting him dead.
I fear for those of conscience and integrity who like Charlie have a voice because of independent social media, which is the result if not intention of such a horrific event. Those in politics are very few and far between, I fear for them also, especially given what’s happening in Germany, what happened in Romania and of course the attempted assassination of Fico.
Much to the chagrin of the few, the many are of good conscience but they have been underserved for far too long, their needs and wants ignored, treated at best as serfs at worst considered the deplorables, with the need to be controlled to the point that the daily thought process is jail time hopscotch in ever more totalitarian regimes.
I heard other podcasters say the barbarity of Charlie Kirk’s assassination is a turning point, I hope so. But let it be a turning point to unity against the easiness and haste to violence as the means to achieve selfish ends and not another bat for division. We cannot simply condemn the action of one , no matter how horrible, we must condemn all those responsible for all the atrocities committed whether or not they pull the trigger. There are far too many grieving families, in too many places who know only too painfully the heartbreak of Charlie’s family. Let his not be another headline to be written over by yet another tragedy. God knows it’s enough.
