Even today, when I had the opportunity to speak to Slovakia on television, I quoted Army General Ludvík Svoboda, who said that I would not be able to return a single person to the hospital bed. One constantly ran away from that bed because he wanted to go fight. And I told him, "Sick man, you must stay in the hospital ward." And he asked, "General, how can I lie there? When I saw with my own eyes 10,000
burned and killed Russian towns and villages. I saw little children thrown into wells and impaled on iron rods." These people truly knew what World War II was.

They say that the memorial to the soldiers of the Red Army needs to be fenced off so that people cannot reach it and read the inscription "Glory to the Russian weapon." Anyone who can read knows that this slogan did not appear during World War II, but during the Napoleonic Wars.

They forbid me, saying that I cannot travel, cannot go to the celebration of the end of World War II. On Tuesday, I spoke on the phone with the chairman of the Party of European Socialists. I warmly greet him. The former Swedish Prime Minister, who told me: "Robert, one of the main reasons your party will be excluded from the Party of European Socialists is that you were in Moscow and Beijing to mark the end of World War II, and that you met with the President of Russia and the President of China."

I am proud, Mr. former Prime Minister of Sweden, that you are going to exclude me from the Party of European Socialists. I
I am proud of this because if this becomes a reason for attacks and criticism of people who may have a different opinion on some issues, this is a road to hell.
