Here’s my head scratcher about the 40 billion $ the US is sending to Argentina. Am I missing something?
It’s not the obvious billionaire friend’s club of Bessent using tax payer dollars to bail out Citrone, whom he has had a close relationship with for over a decade and who lobbied Bessent for tax payer money and he certainly won’t be the only big bond investor that will get a windfall from the Argentinian bailout.
It’s not even Trump’s quote that he “won’t waste his time on Argentina if Milei loses” the up coming election. My head scratcher is Trump’s quote that Argentina was “fighting for its life”, it was “dying”, so 40 billion is nothing. I wonder what the folks of Flint Michigan think about that as a decade on they still have a water crisis, or those places dying like Gary Indiana, or the other places in the US in major decline, don’t they qualify for life support?
I have to wonder if any ordinary Argentinian will benefit, those who have already lost their shirt many times over thanks to the inept leadership past and present, or if it’s just the billionaire’s club ensuring they never lose a dime? Funny how so many of them bank the profits but the taxpayer covers their loses. Equally transparent is that Trump actually doesn’t care if Argentina dies, just that Milei stays in charge, he pretty much said so. I wonder why?
I also wonder about Bessent, who got seriously rich thanks to Citrone when they both worked for Soros, is he really America first? Was he the agent provocateur that pushed Musk from the inner circle and fed the rumours of ruin? We still don’t know who made $300 million in a day recently following a supposed, known only to an inner circle, announcement. That’s some insider trading?
