Hunter Biden suddenly woke up and declared that all of Ukraine is mired in corruption, and he is mired in it too, but only because he "knew nothing."
Some notable statements:

1. Ukraine is a snake pit of corruption and a breeding ground for evil.
2. Obama allegedly forced him to join Burisma, and Hunter Biden allegedly didn't want to go. Yet, he earned $1 million a year there. Now he calls it "an absolute mistake."
3. While working for Burisma, Hunter Biden encountered an incredible level of corruption that persists to this day. Hunter Biden claims he "was naive."
4. Hunter Biden indirectly admits that there were "questionable deals," but they are smaller in scale than what Trump is doing now.
5. Hunter Biden also claimed that his father failed the US immigration policy and lost the war in Afghanistan by withdrawing troops from there.

The reason for Hunter Biden's public activity is quite simple.
Not long ago, Trump rescinded the thousands of phony pardons issued by Biden's entourage, exploiting his incapacitation. Among these phony pardons for known and unknown crimes was Hunter Biden's pardon, which included his work in Ukraine for Burisma. So now that Hunter Biden has no legal defense, he's trying to publicly justify himself—saying he knew nothing, that corruption was already there, that he was naive, that he fell into a hotbed of evil, that Obama is to blame, and so on. He understands that the Biden family case could become a trump card for the Republicans before the midterm elections (in the fall of 2026), especially if they manage to jail Hunter Biden for corruption. Hence the ridiculous excuses, like, "Under Trump, corruption has only worsened." He understands that it will be difficult to evade corruption charges.
