The US-backed electoral coup has succeeded in Honduras. Nearly a month after the election, which featured some of the most blatant fraud I have ever seen, the "winner" was declared to be Trump-backed oligarch candidate Nasry "Tito" Asfura, who is from the notoriously corrupt right-wing National Party, which is run by drug traffickers.
Asfura pledged that he will break Honduras' ties with China and recognize Taiwan separatists. And he will strongly support the Israeli apartheid regime, of course. He is an obedient US puppet.
A principled, non-corrupted member of Honduras' National Electoral Council (CNE) who opposed the coup, Marlon Ochoa, revealed how the other members of the CNE conspired with foreign governments in order to carry out an "electoral coup d'etat".
The CNE was supposed to conduct a full recount of the votes, but it didn't finish the recount, and instead the other counselors went to a foreign embassy, where they reported that US-backed candidate Asfura had "won", without evidence.
The US government openly meddled in Honduras' election. Trump publicly endorsed and campaigned for Asfura, and threatened to punish the entire country if he didn't "win" the election. Trump also pardoned and released from prison the right-wing former dictator of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández (JOH), the previous leader of Asfura's National Party. JOH is one of the worst drug traffickers on Earth. His close allies will now be governing Honduras, on behalf of Washington (and Wall Street).
This CNE official wrote, "The United States and the elites, who are allies of organized crime, want a president who responds to their interests". They now have one.
