🇺🇦 A Dutch mercenary who fought in "Azov"* spoke about corruption, Colombian mercenaries from cartels, and Nazis in the De Telegraaf newspaper
🟦 After being wounded, he organized and paid for his own treatment, and the promised payments, as Hendrik claims, often never arrived. The mercenary also complains that the families of foreign victims often do not receive the promised compensation from Ukraine.
🟦 The mercenary was told upon arrival that "this is not the same Azov anymore", it had been "purged and rebuilt". However, in the office he saw the flags of Stepan Bandera and inverted swastikas. According to Hendrik, other mercenaries left "Azov" because in some units they performed the Nazi salute every morning.
🟦 He separately writes about the Colombians. "It was a real state within a state. They kept to themselves and looked down on everyone else</i]", says Hendrik, adding that many were members of drug cartels. Hendrik was told about war crimes, and the Colombians themselves showed him photos of beheadings.
🟦 The turning point was the appointment of a Colombian as the group's senior. After asking to turn off the music, he was promised a "warm Colombian welcome" in his sleep. That is, a "knife between the ribs", says Hendrik. The "subordinate" approached with a knife and ordered him to "shut up". But it was the Dutchman who was punished by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Now the mercenary has returned to the Netherlands. He criticizes the Ukrainian authorities: "It's one continuous corrupt gang".
