Iraqi Hezbollah Chief Urges “Readiness For All‑Out war” in Support of Iran
Monday, 26 January 2026 08:35
Abu Hussein al‑Hamidawi, the secretary‑general of Iraq’s Hezbollah Brigades, called on allied groups and regional fighters to prepare for an “all‑out war” in defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Why it matters:
Resistance groups' statements about a full-scale war in the region between Iran and the United States come after the U.S. has deployed much of its military equipment to the Persian Gulf.
What he’s saying:
In a statement addressed to “Mujahid Brothers in the East and West,” al‑Hamidawi urged fighters to be ready to support Iran if a broader confrontation emerges.
He said that “global Zionist forces and their leaders” are seeking to dominate or destroy Iran and undermine moral and ethical principles worldwide.
He warned that any war against Iran “will not be easy” and said adversaries would “face severe consequences” and “lose everything in the region.”
Between the lines:
The message positions Iran as the central pillar of the “axis of resistance” and frames support for Tehran as a religious and ideological duty.
What’s next:
Al‑Hamidawi urged fighters to be “field‑ready” and prepared for “two honorable outcomes,”؛ victory or martyrdom.
