Thank you, Alex and Alexander, for what you do. I am finally getting around to becoming a supporter of the Duran. Long overdue. You have opened my eyes and the eyes of many others around the world, I am sure.
What I think does not matter in the bigger scheme of things, but I know that I represent the thoughts of many Americans and for that reason I am writing to you, in case you are interested. In part I am talking about why we support Mr. Trump as President. My family’s roots go back in America long before the United States was formed. My ancestors fought in the Revolutionary war against Britain. I grew up being proud of my country and leadership like Eisenhower, JFK, and Reagan.
As I do my taxes today, I am really, really angry. Why should I be giving my money to a government who spends the money supporting people who walk into the US and demand we pay them to be here? I was in Central America recently and met a woman from there who lives part time in Minnesota and runs a business. She was telling me that she personally pocketed $500,000 in Covid relief money. I don’t know the whole story, but suggestions were that she used fake identities to claim benefits for people that did not exist. We pay millions for Somali run Lerning Centers. We send billions to the Green Goblin (love that term) for him to sock away and give to his Ukrainian high-rollers driving Rolls-Royces in Monaco.
And I get to pay for it. Nice!
THAT is why we needed Trump. He’s not perfect. I would personally not give another penny to fund a war that everyone with half a brain knew was lost from the outset. I have spent a lot of time in both Russia and Ukraine, and have friends there. I speak Russian. I’m not an expert by any means, but anyone with a casual knowledge of the relative differences in these two areas and governments would understand the futility of this war. I experienced Ukrainian administrative corruption first hand years ago. I could always trust the Russians I worked with. At least Trump seems to care, judging by word and action, about the American people in a way few politicians do. He’s the best hope we have at the moment.
