Are you interested to time travel and see Soviet Union’s typical cafeteria?
During working hours everywhere was not lunch time as it is in US , but Russians called it dinner time .
It was one hour from 2- 3 pm.
The cafeteria you see and the dinner with veggies soup - borsh , Carley’s with meshed potatoes or rice and meat, cake , all of this was costing 1 ruble .
Everything was calculated , no excesses , but people had everything they needed . Plane ticket from any republic to Moscow was costing 37 rubles .
Education in university or institute or academy was free , as was healthcare . Becides that students had income for studding well and that money was enough to go to resort on the bitch and have Coffey or drink in bar , if you managed to save money you earned by studding well .
This was socialism, guaranteed everything human needs.
But West was shining with luxurious things and that made some people to desire thous things .
This mentality for example makes Ukrainians to buy increadibly expensive cars and desire extreme luxury. That’s the main reason why they wanted West.
But after they will learn … they will comet their senses. Though , some people never learn . Ones they set themselves up , that’s it .
Nobody will tel you thous things, so I bother telling . 😀
