The fourth anniversary of the start of the SMO produced the predictable flood of identical articles across the entirety of the Western MSM, all of them littered with the same heartless cliches and grotesque misrepresentations (or lies if you prefer).
None of this of course affects the actual situation on the ground, which for Ukraine worsens every day. For the record, I have good reason to believe that the UK authorities (though probably not ministers) know perfectly well what the true situation is and are becoming very worried.
This may partly explain the strange story about the UK and France transferring nuclear weapons to Ukraine. Incidentally, and contrary to some claims, Putin did not confirm its truth yesterday.
As to Trump's SOU, the part of it that dealt with domestic issues reminded me in tone and form though not always in content of Biden's previous efforts, but the ferocious comments about Iran for me clearly point to a President who has made the decision to go to war.
