Screenshots of 2 posts I thought might interest some, made today by the historian, Miguel Castelo Branco (I've brought posts of his before). They are short, but quite poignant. He placed them on his FB social media account. I'll also leave the links and translate. He is a highly skilled and respected academic. Though this implies he naturally knows more than one tongue, he nevertheless always posts in his native Portuguese.
Post 1 - In Tehran, Iran's Chief Rabbi, Yehuda Gerami (Judah Gerami), whose family has been settled in Iran for many centuries, visits the rubble of his synagogue destroyed by the Zionists. Iranian Jews serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces (of Iran) henceforth have all the more just reasons to settle scores with their enemies.

Post 2 - The MD, Cardiologist-surgeon Masoud Pezeshkian is 71 and Iran's President. He served on the front lines during eight years in which the" West " fed Saddam Hussein's War Machine, returned unharmed, but very marked by the brutality of that conflict in which an entire generation of young Iranians died. Today, he offered to return to the ranks, responding to the call for general mobilization decreed by the government. It is from this temper that the Iranians are made.

Prestou serviço na frente de combate durante oito anos em que o "Ocidente" alimentou a máquina de guerra de Saddam Hussein, voltou ileso, mas muito marcado pela brutalidade daquele conflito em que morreu uma geração inteira de jovens iranianos.
