Our British friends in the Duran forum have relatives that left an indelible mark on their lives with their stories of what life was like during the war. How the people supported each other regardless of politics. They were “in it” together. They offered defiance to the bombs of Hitler.
The Iranians have gathered in the streets of their villages towns and cities every night since the first bomb fell on their country. The palpable energy of love and goodwill feeds on itself in the crowd. This is why you see the President and the Foreign Minister and other Iranian officials out in the crowd to bath in that feeling and escape the heaviness of their providential occupation for the time being.
Today the Iranians did the ultimate in the face of the threats of the maniacal villain in the White House. They held each other’s hands…on bridges, near power plants near ancient sites, near hospitals (the ones that haven’t been bombed) and anywhere else they could to show solidarity.
When this is over and eventually it will be Iran will be a greater country because their bonds with each other have been forged in love and blood.
And tourism will be off the chain LOL.
God bless these good people.
