Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova:

For the first time in 3 years, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with his German counterpart, Johann Wadephul, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

Before the meeting (which took place at Germany’s request), the German side demanded that access to media be restricted and opening remarks not be recorded.
The two ministers discussed the situation around Ukraine and bilateral relations.
Lavrov said that Russia never refuses to hear out any of its counterparts (even when a meeting is requested at the last moment, as was the case with Wadephul). Lavrov said he learned nothing new from Wadephul, who simply repeated Berlin's standing position, and that he advised the German minister to read his (Lavrov's) speech on Ukraine delivered at the UN Security Council on September 23.

These are chairs in the meeting room of the UN headquarters in New York. They are a symbolic illustration of the decline of the main international diplomatic organization. The UN has proven itself to be unable to stop or resolve international conflicts. The UN Security Council, with its permanent members having the right of veto, does not reflect the real distribution of powers in the world. The United States is abusing the fact that it hosts its headquarters. In general, the UN probably won't last long in this form. At one time, the League of Nations also crumbled, right before the Second World War. Hopefully, the Third World War doesn't follow the demise of the UN.
