It has been said that Netanyahu and the Ultra-Zionist actions Israel has taken under his leadership are the greatest promoters of anti-Jewish feeling worldwide. Western governments, doing all they can to enact legislation to suppress "hate speech directed at Jews" and to make criticism of Israel a criminal offense, are simply adding fuel to the fire.
What is most sorely needed is an outright condemnation of Israel's genocidal actions in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon by all responsible representatives of the Jewish community!
Otherwise the world will continue to equate Judaism with Ultra-Zionism.
So where are the Jewish voices condemning this? Certainly not in the Jewish organizations: nor are they to be heard in the mainstream media. Courageous Jews like Max Blumenthal and Jeffrey Sachs are subjected to extreme harassment and threats by their community and their voices are actively suppressed - they're pretty well restricted to the alternative media.
Earlier I posted an image of a huge billboard which has appeared on a city street - it displayed an Israeli flag and it said:
"We're your neighbors. Stand with us."
A pretty unambiguous message from my neighbors!
Neighbor - if you don't stand with what Israel is doing isn't it about time you gathered the courage to speak out?
