Dnipro, Saturday monrning, 2 May
Just returned from a trip west to the border to collect some medical supplies for one batallion here in Dnipro we support. Astonished at how few military supply trucks or military vehicles in general on the road. I think i saw one half arsed convoy heading east on the way out, don't believe i saw another.
Judging by the number of block posts and cowardly TCC stops on the trip, half our army is west of Dnipro now anyhow. I see more soldiers at a block post in Mukachevo than I do when evacuating soldiers near the front lines. Rediculous.
Since last Saturday there has been a huge uptick in strikes throughout Ukraine, Dnipro has copped its fair share of drone and missile strikes. Locally in the slobashanske area a strike on a TCC office killed 12 non TCC people, as one of the two drones struck immediately outside the compound next to a bus stop. Tragic. I own realestate in that area and have been pushing to have the bus stop moved 100 metres either side of the TCC compound since 2023, as it is an obvious target, as usual, no one listened.
Another strike earlier in the week hit a Wog service station in the exit of Dnipro to the west, no reports on casualties but I noticed three cars burned out at what were once pumps, and there is always people in Wog service stations, as they make great hotdogs so hard to see no casualties. I always stop at that station to fuel up when leaving Dnipro as it allows me to drive all the way to my usual stopover without refuelling. As an Australian, I also am amused by the name, wog.... In aus you would get punched calling someone a wog :)
On the drive I found most service stations were low on diesel, most had only one pump for diesel working, and they were restricting who used it, cars max of 20 litres. Didn't find any issues with petrol, understandable given the diesel is needed by the army. Luckily my Cayenne is petrol.
Has been many more attacks on TCC officers by Ukrainians in the past month, one truck ran through a TCC post killing or severely injuring a dozen TCC officers. A man opened fire on them in Rovne yesterday with an automatic gun, killing three more. He was AWOL from the army it seems.
No idea when the madness will end, but it won't until President Putin takes it seriously, declares war, and levels Bankova Street and the Verkhova Rada, eliminating as much of the Kiev junta as possible. I get why there is a reluctance to do it, but more civilians are dying now on both sides, something Zelenksy wants in his attempt to draw in other countries, and everyone here wants it ended. A few broken eggs when making an omelette is necessary.
Weather wise, still cold, this coming week we should see temps begin to rise I hope.
With Iran i am a believer that the usa is going to launch another round of strikes this week, intense, and then declare victory and run away as usual. I for one hope Iran don't let them, and that they level completely the incestuous gulf states. I am still completely staggered that congress has done nothing to stop this illegal war, which to me means they are complicit in the entire illegal war. Every sitting congress member, and every member of this administration must be held accountable, and must be prosecuted, imprisoned and banned from ever holding office again.
