A Return of Pravda Level Spin
Ever since Stanislav's recent interview with Alex the Younger, a thought had occurred. Something was off. But what?
During the course of the interview it became clear what was unsettling. Stanislav was verbatim parroting pure Kremlin talking points, which is something he usually doesn't do, not to that level.
Without too many details the two main tells of this are:
1) RU army is advancing everywhere (although he did qualify this with some "areas of difficulty"
2) Dismissing various UA attacks as terrorism
Point (1) has been the general Party Line since "everything is going according to plan" narrative back in March 2022. It most certainly is not going to plan. However, this over-the-top narrative faded from non-official sources over the past few years with healthy criticism of the MoD and skepticism. One must note the propaganda dating back to the massive strategic significant of Bakhmut. The west said it meant nothing and will make no difference. We see who was correct.
Point (2) is a cope designed to deflect and "actively deny" the true state of affairs. Russia is under daily attack and previous attacks on the nuclear deterrent were anything but "terrorism". But where does the narrative come from? The Kremlin. Admitting that this is a military attack on the nuclear deterrent has obvious implications which the Oligarch controlled Kremlin is not prepared to face.
Admitting they've lost control of the sky and that the fuel and supply situation in Crimea is becoming critical means admitting the manner in which the war (not even called a war) is being waged is defective.
Basically, these two points cover up the insane failures of a 5th year of war with little to no real progress being made.
Following this odd turn by Stas, one checks the usual Russian military outlets. And in parallel, they have also instantly dropped any critical articles which were quite prevalent over the past 1-2 years.
This reminds one of a recent article before this blackout (the blackout was just one the past few days) of the RU gov heavily censoring and even arresting members of the Communist Party in Siberia. Why? Because their poll numbers are dropping and the Communists are surging significantly in that region.
Essentially, this points to a very bad sign where the RU gov has tuned their attention to stifling healthy debate and criticism. And this answers the question in one of the Duran's recent podcast of "where is the FSB in stopping these attacks". The answer is, they are focused on domestic narrative control. Assassinations of Russian military officials is not simply "terrorism"; it is an aspect of the war which Russia refuses to acknowledge for what it is, because it means they have to take actions the Oligarchs are not allowing them to take.
We can expect this crackdown to accelerate into the Sept elections seasons. The understanding is United Russia may have to cheat more than the "usual" 5% to prevent total electoral defeat, in which case 10% or more will be quite an obvious cheat and one can only imagine the results.
