FROM THE DESK OF MEDVEDEV:
Medvedev stated that Russia will not create a concentration camp for Europeans.
In the event of a conflict with Europe, Russia will not consider creating concentration camps for prisoners of war, according to Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Council.
In his Max messenger channel, he commented on reports this week about a test run in the Netherlands for setting up a camp for Russian prisoners of war in the event of a conflict with Russia.
"Russia, unlike that vile old Europe that has fallen into neo-Nazism, will not create concentration camps for Europeans. ... They will be unnecessary. "Radioactive bones and ashes are usually buried deep in the ground," Medvedev wrote.
Earlier, media reports surfaced about the Dutch army's creation of a new camp project designed to house up to 2,000 prisoners of war.
As a reminder, Russian authorities have repeatedly stated that the West's claims about the threat of Russia joining the alliance are unfounded. At a meeting of the heads of leading global news agencies on June 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the West's claims about the Russian threat a "deliberate provocation."
