The United States has reportedly carried out the first successful test of the Golden Dome Air Defence System.
Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth made the announcement where he spoke of using directed energy weapons to shoot down multiple aerial threats.
The system that costs $1.2 Trillion will have a three-layered system including ground-based interceptors, AI and supercomputers for jamming and satellite-based interceptors. The entire project is expected to become fully operational by 2030.
