TEHRAN (Tasnim) –The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced a successful strike on the main US military logistic center in West Asia.
In a statement issued on Wednesday morning, the IRGC public relations department said the center, located in Mina Abdullah, Kuwait, was set ablaze in the attack.
“The heroic people of Islamic Iran, who have amazed and inspired the world with their conscious and courageous presence in the field and the creation of glorious and unprecedented scenes in world history,” the statement read.
“Your brace sons in the IRGC and Basij, relying on God Almighty and encouraged by your presence and sincere prayers, are victoriously managing the battlefields with firm steps and imposing humiliation on the great devil,” it added.
“The American enemy, who had been attacking our bases the previous nights under the pretext of hitting ships (violating rules), last night, when no ship dared to violate or accompany the United States and naturally there were no hits, in order to hide its defeat and inability, targeted a number of coastal bases and locations in the southern provinces of the country with its cruise missiles and fighter bombs, and the powerful warriors of Islam punished and suppressed the invaders with crushing responses.”
The IRGC said that in the fourth wave of Operation Nasr 2 (Victory 2), codenamed Ya Aba Abdillah al-Hussein (AS), KJL, the main logistics center of the US military in West Asia, located in Mina Abdullah, Kuwait, was set on fire and destroyed.
The retaliatory operation continues and the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the end of America’s evil acts, the statement concluded.
Earlier, domestic media reported US air raids on several locations in southern Iran, including Qeshm Island, Kish Island, and Andimeshk.
The United States has perpetrated numerous violations against Iranian territory since April 7, when US President Donald Trump announced a unilateral ceasefire in the latest bout of US-Israeli aggression targeting the Islamic Republic.
The violations continued even after Washington and Tehran signed a Pakistan-mediated memorandum of understanding in June, the first clause of which clearly mandates cessation of aggression on all fronts.
The United States has also been trying to help vessels evade the maritime route designated by the Islamic Republic for safe and legal passage through the Strait of Hormuz by seeking to escort trespassing vessels through an illegal passageway.
Iran's Armed Forces have staged uncompromising retaliation in the face of each instance of violation, including those in support of illegal vessel movement in the Strait of Hormuz.
