I feel another Public Service Announcement is necessary. I have begun thinking again, and you know what that means. Yesterday, I got into an argument about set theory and logic with an AI system, which was said to be disabled to learn anything from that exercise. And this Only-In-the-Box (OIB) limitation made it to seem quite human! Well, I am about to go Out-Of-the-Box (OOB) now.
It’s totally horrible, but nuclear war between ‘Israel’ and Iran is possible. Presuming that this is limited, it would significantly increase ambient radiation flux in our atmosphere. What would this do? I’ve heard that cancer was much lower prior to atmospheric nuclear testing, and maybe nuclear power also plays into this. What else could result?
Computer chip makers are determinedly occupied with eliminating traces of radioactive material in their chips, since radiation can induce random bit-flipping. Presumably high-flying jet planes are somewhat protected from ozone, but this may have limitations, so fly-by-wire could become die-by-wire. You have a computer and a cellphone. So does your doctor, your bank, your website host, etc., etc. No more Bitcoin for you. No more driving in motor vehicles, operating big trucks, farm machinery, cargo boats, railroad engines, etc., etc.
I would venture that all this could be rather inconvenient.
