I see a headline here among the links posted "Trump bombs Iran for five months and they still say no"
Trump's bombing has apparently been almost exclusively in stand-off mode - manned US and Israeli aircraft dare not enter Iranian airspace (look what happened to the unmanned ones - as well as in that abortive "rescue" fiasco). The US has a dread of its pilots being captured.
The main weapons used have been Tomahawk and JASSM cruise missiles - each having a payload of 1,000 lbs. of explosive. The unspoken weakness in Trump's war has been the almost total inability to use gravity bombs which, delivered carpet-fashion, would have been far more destructive: a B1 can deliver 70,000 lbs. of ordinance in a single mission!
So Iran still defies the US after five months of this?
Contrast, now, what Russia has delivered in Ukraine over four and a half years. Cruise missiles, assuredly, including the Kalibr and the hypersonic Zirkon but also ballistic missiles including the Iskander and Khinzhal. And Russia now drops guided gravity bombs with impunity such as the FAB 3000 (6,614 lbs. of explosive) with shocking effect. Not to mention a large array of drones and thermobaric munitions. All the while there is a massive land-invasion in progress.
And, still, after 4 1/2 years of absorbing this, Ukraine remains defiant - and its land area is little more than one third of Iran's
My point is what hope does Trump think he has to defeat Iran with such a comparatively puny effort in a mere five months?
