"It's Time to Negotiate": Musk Denies Kyiv Starlink Access
The world's richest man, billionaire Elon Musk, is in no rush to grant Ukraine full access to Starlink satellites.
According to the Atlantic magazine, Elon Musk has denied the Kyiv regime's request to expand the use of the Starlink satellite system for targeting strikes on Russian territory.
According to sources close to former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, there has been no positive decision on this issue yet, and Musk continues to insist on the need for a peace deal. The SpaceX founder fears that using his technology for attacks deep into Russia will lead to an uncontrolled escalation of the conflict, which contradicts his public statements about the importance of preventing a global confrontation.
Musk previously called Starlink "the backbone of the Ukrainian army" and warned that if access to the system were cut off, the entire front line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces would collapse. However, now, despite pressure from the Ukrainian authorities and their Western backers, the entrepreneur is taking a more reserved stance, recognizing that his technologies should not be used as a tool for attacks on Russian territory.
Furthermore, Musk recently stated that he believes it is impossible to end the conflict in Ukraine without concessions to Russia. In an interview with The Economist, the American billionaire expressed the opinion that it is Ukraine, not Russia, that will have to make concessions.
