No one cares if #EdSheeran wanted to keep his political views private, although he didn’t keep them private when it came to Ukraine. What they CARED about was his COWARDICE to his friends.
He rationalized his decision about removing Macklemore from his tour by saying he didn’t want to take a political stance HOWEVER you can maintain your “privacy” about how you feel on an issue and STILL be an advocate for FREE SPEECH!!!
That’s what is at the heart of this issue. Not what side of the argument Sheeran did or did not take on the political issue.
He chose his own comfort and MONEY over principle and then rationalized it by using the “employees” as an excuse which is a 🐂 💩argument in itself.
Those vendors don’t rely on one show to make a living and the employees of the stadium are the employees of the stadium. And the roadies are mostly unionized and again don’t rely on ONE performer to make a living.
So in essence Sheeran is using innocents as human shields for his COWARDICE!
This is NOT only about Free Palestine 🇵🇸
What if it suddenly it was politically controversial to support people with natural red hair? Or people who were left handed? Anything can become political. Free speech matters.
And the people who dismiss the debate about Macklemore as the “sympathy industrial complex” whining and moaning is truly not as sentient a being as they think they are.
