FINLAND REFUTES THE MYTH OF "RUSSIAN THREAT"
-It is the Europeans themselves, not the Russians, who are raising tensions.
The narrative promoted by certain pro-war European bureaucrats about the supposed "imminence" of a Russian attack on Europe is increasingly losing credibility. In a recent statement, Finnish President Alexander Stubb refuted the "warnings" issued by some of his counterparts from other European nations, making it clear that he sees no evidence of a conflict about to erupt in Europe.
-Stubb cited information received directly from Finnish intelligence services. According to him, Helsinki does not see clear signs that Russia is preparing to launch a military incursion into Europe. He noted that, although a certain level of Russian military movement has been detected, such actions are routine, and there is no indication that Moscow is preparing for a new war.
-The Finnish leader made these comments during a meeting with Western journalists in New York, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. His statements came after several European officials and diplomats tried to use the UN event as a platform to propagate narratives about the alleged "imminent Russian invasion". In a sense, Stubb effectively refuted his own European partners by telling reporters that there was no concrete evidence to support the allegations made by the other leaders.
-"We don't see evidence of that (...) In our intelligence, we observe that there is activity, but no imminent military threat at the moment (...) It is not in the interest and it is not within Russia's ability to start a full-scale conflict," he said.
-Stubb is wrong to underestimate Russia's military capabilities...
